The first full day we visited Downtown Disney. We enjoyed this outing and it gave us a chance to "test" the kids at how they would do the next couple of days at Disney World. The highlight of this day was the Dinosaur restraunt we ate at for lunch. It had life size dinosuars through out the restraunt and a ice cave seating area that had a meteor show ever 20 to 30 minutes that included lights flashing and all the dinosaures would come to life during this time as well. It was a great introduction for Ian as to what was to come over the next couple of days.

We were up bright and early the next day and were on our way to Magic Kingdom. This was my first trip to Disney World and I must say it was "magical"! We arrived early to purchase tickets and just get an early start to the day. Anna Marie was still for the most part taking two naps during the day, so I was a little leery about how this would all work out for her. We borrowed a double side by side stroller that reclined from a friend so I would be able to push both kids and recline it for Anna when she needed to nap. She did great!! She only took one nap during the day later in the afternoon. As long as she has her "love-love" she is good. We spent all of the first day at Magical Kingdom. We planed to do that because it has so much to offer. Ian enjoyed it all and exceded our expectations. He rode most of the rides that he could. He made most of the height requirements for the rides, but Anna had to sit out on a few rides. The funnies memory of this day was "The Haunted House" ride. Ian had already had a fear of ghost and often said he had ghost in his bedroom, so I was hesitant to let him go with us on this ride. Keith insisted that he go so we all went! Yes, it had lost of ghost figures and at the very end of the ride a ghost says something like "I will follow you home" which totally freaked Ian out. We reassured him with the help of Jorge that they were just joking and it was just pretend. For the next couple of nights at bed time Ian would remind us of the ghost house and say "they were just joking, right?". Poor baby, but atleast he knew that it was just pretend but he needed our reassurance. He also enjoyed the Pirates of the Carribean ride and now wants to be a pirate for Halloween!

This is the position Anna would take every afternoon. I would wet her hat, give her love-love and her milk and she would sleep!
Just before we left Magic Kingdom we were able stop and watch the parade go by! It was enjoyed by all! We loved all the music, singing and dancing!
The following day we planned to use our "park hopper" and visit Animal Kingdom as soon as it opened and then "hop" over to Epcot. The rest of the Morton crew went straight to Epcot and we met up with them that afternoon. We all enjoyed Animal Kingdom. We took the safari ride as soon as we got there so we could see the animals before it got too hot and they went into hiding (tip from a friend). We were able to sit and eat lunch in a shady area where some ducks had the same idea. As you can see from the pictures Anna Marie loved them, Ian, not so much. Ian actually climbed onto the table to get away from them. Before we left Animal Kingdom we were able to go and get our pictures with Mickey Mouse and Goofy. It was super HOT every day we were in Orlando and this took a toll on Ian. You can tell by these pictures with the characters that he was tired. Anna was napping during this time so she was not able to make these photo shoots! We then hopped on the tram/bus that took us over to Epcot. We didn't get to do much here b/c of the time, but we got to meet up with the rest of the family for a little bit. We ate dinner at the Chinese station and then heeded back to the house.
The next day we planned to go and visit Hollywood Studios. We were the only four that went here on this day. I think this might have been Ian's favorite because he got to meet and take pictures with so many different characters (Lightning Maqueen/Tow Mater, Monster's Inc, Woody & Buzz). We of course got to do other things (Muppets 3-d), back lot tour, Star Wars, Toy Story ride. Waiting in line to take pictures with the characters took time!!
We had all agreed that we wanted to take a short trip to the beach (Coco beach) since we were not able to go to Pensacola like planned. It was a short 40 minute drive which was worth it for me because I got to see how much Anna Marie loved it! Coco beach was great because of the gradual drop off and the calmer water. The other thing different was the sand. I kept calling it dirt! Ian did great in the water and he also enjoyed playing in the sand. I was even able to catch a few waves on the boogie board (sorry, no pics of that!).
