Ian's First Trip to the Dentist

Today was Ian's first trip to visit the dentist. Ever since I made the appointment last week we have been prepping him for this day. The obvious theme at Dr. Harrison's office is "ocean/Nemo adventure". Every wall space in the office is covered with beautiful hand painted ocean scenes. It makes the place feel very warm and inviting along with the wonderful staff there.
We arrived taking the first appointment of the day at 9:00 a.m. Keith was able to meet us and help with the kiddos (and help Ian with all the "games" in the waiting room!)

Ian was such a big boy. He got right up in the chair and sat down, but didn't say a word. He kept asking about the "lollipops" he though he would be getting. I had to warn him that the dentist would probable not have "candy". Once the hygienist introduced him to the "treasure chest" with toys that he could get when he was finished it was a cake walk. As usually they counted Ian's teeth and did a regular cleaning. He has 8 on the top and 8 on the bottom. Still no molers, so they should be on the way soon. It was a perfect check up with no problems. The hygienist and the dentist could not stop complimenting him and us on how good he was!



In the end he received a toy cat figure and a pencil along w/ a new tooth brush!
