Last week we were able to take a little ride and go see some special horses. The Houston Police Department recently relocated their horses to new stables. Granny was in town so she was able to come with us! We stopped at HEB on the way and got a bag of carrots and a bag of apples to feed to the horses.
Thank goodness it didn't take long because Ian couldn't have taken the suspense much longer in the car! After signing in at the front desk we made our way to out to see the horses. As soon as we feed on horse all the other horses came out to get their snack from us. They were all waiting at the end of their gate with their heads out. What a funny sight. There was also a frisky little goat at the stables. It kept jumping on me (I had Anna Marie in the carrier), so they had put the goat in his pin. All of the horses enjoyed their apples and carrots!
My two favorite quotes from Ian on this trip:
"Horses don't eat me, my name is Ian!"
"Where are the zebras?"
We were happy that we were able to go and feed these horses this week because we saw them two days later at the Houston Rodeo Parade!
Do we hear visitors with snacks?!
Granny feeding this hungry horse!
Here are a few pictures from the Rodeo Parade we went to with uncle Brett, Granny, and our friends the Grace family
